Pastor: The Reverend Matthew T. Curry
The Rev. Matthew T. Curry has been pastor of the United Methodist Church of Mt. Kisco since July, 2002, where he is affectionately called “Pastor Matt.” A United Methodist his whole life, Matt grew up in Fort Walton Beach, on Florida’s panhandle. Matt has a degree in music from Emory University in Atlanta, and a Master of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School and Institute of Sacred Music. As pastor of the United Methodist Church of Mt. Kisco, his main responsibilities include preaching and leading its worship life, offering pastoral care, and caring for the congregation’s spiritual well-being and community outreach.
Matt’s community involvement includes membership in the Northern Westchester Interfaith Council and the Union Hook and Ladder Company of the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department.
Matt is married to his high school sweetheart, Maria Colaco. They live with their daughter, Lilly, in Mount Kisco.
Director of Music: Dr. Joan Forsyth
Dr. Joan Forsyth is an accomplished musician who has preformed concerts throughout North and South America, Europe, Russia and Japan as a soloist and chamber musician. She has preformed as a soloist with the Westchester Philharmonic and the Westchester Chamber Orchestra.
She has worked as a teacher, consultant, artistic director, music director and organist in the tri-state area for over 20 years. She has a Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of British Columbia, a Masters in Music from the Juilliard School, and a D.M.A. from Rutgers University.
